About the Submersible Pump Yojana

The Kusum Yojana is a government initiative aimed at uplifting the social and economic status of farmers in the country. Under this scheme, efforts are being made to ensure fast and reliable communication in rural areas through advanced technologies. The Identity Development Center also plays a role in facilitating these developments.

One of the key components of this initiative is the Solar Pump Yojana, launched by the Government of India. The goal of this scheme is to provide a 24-hour electricity supply in villages by enabling farmers to generate solar power on their own land. This will help reduce the dependency on diesel and kerosene, cutting down fuel expenses and promoting clean energy.

The Submersible Pump Yojana is a powerful step by the central government to meet all electricity needs of farmers. Under this scheme, farmers can install solar plants by paying only 10% of the total cost, with the rest being covered by government subsidies. This scheme will significantly help farmers become self-reliant while also conserving diesel and petrol.
